Clinical Conference

Summer Case Colloquium
July 18-22, 2006
Tuscan Island of Gilgio

Michael Conforti, Ph.D.

Immediately following the Assisi Conference is our three-day clinical seminar led by Michael Conforti, an innovator in applying archetypal dynamics to the clinical and organizational milieu.   Held on Giglio, one of the most beautiful and pristine islands in the Tuscan Archipelago, this seminar by the sea offers a lovely complement to our time in the Umbrian hills of Assisi.

Conducted as a small supervisory case colloquium, each session will begin with Dr. Conforti presenting clinical and theoretical illustrations of archetypal pattern recognition.   He will examine the workings of complexes and archetypes, and explore ways to apply Jung's symbolic approach to psyche in psychotherapy and organizational consultation.   Participants are encouraged to present their own casework for discussion.

While on Giglio you can visit medieval towns, including the magical walled village of Giglio Castello.   Or stroll through the picturesque harbor town, Giglio Porto, with its multi-colored houses, tour the spectacular coast by boat, take a day trip to the island of Elba, and relax to enjoy the cool breezes and sandy beaches on the Tyrrhenian Sea.   We will leave the island on Friday evening, and spend our final night on the mainland in preparation for the flight home.

This seminar meets from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily and is open to clinicians, organizational consultants, graduate students and interested laypersons.   Registration is limited.
